Obviously, this is a big mistake. As Bullough (2017) tells us, “the contrast between a sign and its immediate background is the primary determinant of one’s ability to detect the sign, perhaps more than size.” In other words, if you want your sign to stand out and be seen, it needs to contrast sharply with its immediate background and surroundings. Thus, if your sign is displayed against a red bricked wall, try to incorporate high-contrast colors, like white, cyan, mint-green, and gray. BSG did a fantastic job re-designing the Yard Sign logo for ICO Gardening. The original picture was old and couldn't be used due to low resolution. They had to create a new one to the exact picture. They were quick and efficient in competing my order.
